I finished my first degree in electrical engineering (in West Africa) last year (December 2010) and I am working towards getting a postgraduate admission into a university in the west for a master's degree in Communication engineering. In view of that I have been reading many technical papers (including your online tutorials) with the aim of writing at least an article in order to boost my chance of being admitted. Here comes the problem, in my studies i get so disoriented by the alarming volumes of materials out there in the filed of communications engineering that i often get stuck in one article or the other. I am confused of where to start my personal studies, whether to start with coding concepts, modulation techniques, or signal processing techniques
Please in your wealth of experience I humbly request that you counsel me on how to start, and achieve my goal of getting better prepared for a post-graduate research study.
