i have read Charan Langton's OFDM paper. she said that, bit stream convert to parallel and its modulated by 4 subcarriers with BPSK technique. from the text she use the harmonics frequency (orhogonal frequency) fc1=1Hz, fc2=2Hz, Fc=3Hz and fc4=4Hz. so it will make orthogonal signal. And my question is, Why Charan use IFFT, if it has produce orthogonal signal? ?

And about IFFT and FFT from figure 15 part(a). Why Charan describe that IFFT n FFT can do same thing? ? from charans explanation i think IFFT will produce time domain and FFT produce freq domain whatever that will come in.

The best way to check this is to create a Matlab or Simulink model and then interchange the IFFT with a FFT.

hi charan, i am wonder do u have any idea which criteria i have to take into accounts when i am using optiSystem to simulate OFDM. cause i cant get a proper constellation diagram even i am just using the simplest technique which is BPSK to modulate the signal before connecting to OFDM.

Charan
Is there a huge advantage to be derived in using COFDM over OFDM in a small municipal wireless CCTV scheme and what do you consider are the main ones

Hi Charan langton,
I have tried to make a simulink model of ofdm but i dint find serial to parallel and parallel to serial converter in simulink.
Can you please upload the simulink model for the same??
