Hi,
I have a question on Tutorial 12, coding and decoding with convolutional code. The (2,1,4) encoder has an extra register infront... does this has to do with moore state machine design ?If so then figure 4 (4,3,3) encoder is also moore? Also, the lookup table for the encoder (2,1,4) on page 10, is for MEALY FSM design??
Can someone plz clarify this
Also, if I have k=7 and 1/2 code rate (poly: G(0):11 11 00 1; G(1):10 11 01 1): I have 2^7 possible states, correct? (Or, this also depends on which implementation you choose mealy or moore)
