the concept of discretizing the excess delay axis of the impuse response into small equal segements of excess delay bins and there after modeling the received echo of the transmitted pulse in such a channel in different excess delay bins( which cause the intersymbol interefenece ), which we measure by taking the standard deviation of the power delay profile. there i just read that the technique of quantizing the delay bins determines the time delay resolution of the model and useful frequency span of the model can be shown to be equal to 2 * 1/length of excess delay bin. please help me what does it mean.
