I read one of the tutorials on the website regarding ETS 300 421 (DVB spec for satellite receivers). I'm testing a receiver per this spec using an HP3708A(noise & interference test set). I'm looking for someone that is familiar with both the instrument and the spec to ask him/her the following question. How do you set up the instrument in order to test the noise performance of the receiver? For instance, for EbNo = 5.0dB (as given by the spec), what should the bit rate be on the HP3708A?
