From mathlab we can see trellis = poly2trellis([5 4],[23 35 0; 0 5 13]), from encoder blockdiagram.My question how [..0;0 ..]comes & what is ConstraintLength of above trellis.if we use 1/3 feedforward encoder what trellis will be .

what is the back off typically required for a 256QAM modulated power amplifier? I know OFDM generally needs 10 dB and 12 is better .... what does 256 QAM need?

It depends a great deal on amplifier characteristics. I linearized tube for example a transponder can do this at a back off of about 3 dB whereas a regular amp may need more. The actual number is a function of the NPR/C3IM ro some measure of the non-linearity of the amplifier.
