ddemod substitute

Hello, I am trying to relearn after haven't used for more than 10 years. I am currently using an older version of matlab (6.5), which doesn't have pskmod or pskdemod. Now after doing ifft/fft with the data stream, the received data are now in complex form. Is there anyway I can use ddemod to demodulate the signal? Seems like pskdemod can accept both real or complex inputs...

I think I answered my own question... Didn't realize though my output from fft are complex, but the imaginary components are 0...
