can anyone explain me how data rate depends on signal strength. i have seen the shannon's law but i'm unable get what actually it means.

Shannon's law actually talks about maximum rate by which you can send the data thro' channel, which depends on BW and S/N. If noise is less, means S/N is more, rate will be mor, means more data can be send.
