Hello, I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Microwaves. I have designed numerous systems for firms like Lockheed, talla-com, RF Labs etc. But from time to time, one needs to go back to the basics. Well tonight I needed to, and your site was amazing.
Honestly, I remember reading about the modulation techniques during my senior year as an Undergrad, the whole topic seemed needlessly stretched and bothersome, your intuitive example of a man on a boat with torches was extremely interesting and within a few seconds, with your tutorial, I was able to brush away cob-webs from the knowledge I had obtained years ago.
You have done a wonderful job of keeping it simple, yet explaining the details in a harmonic progression and the most valuable part, the diagrams of the signals and the graphs. Truly one picture is worth a thousand words.
For the future, I would recommend something to include basic circuits such as vector modulators, sigma delta modulators, ADC's, and other parts of a analog system ... the way they proceeded from conception to fancy designs.
I am sure you will go equally great in writing those articles. ;D Kaz.
